The Alan Parsons Project was een Britse rockband actief tussen 1975 en 1990, wiens kernlidmaatschap bestond uit de producer, audio-engineer, muzikant en componist Alan Parsons en zanger, songwriter en pianist Eric Woolfson. Ze deelden schrijfcopyrights op bijna al hun nummers, waarbij Parsons alle opnames produceerde of mede-produceerde, terwijl ze werden vergezeld door verschillende sessiemuzikanten, sommigen vrij consistent.

The Alan Parsons Project bracht elf studioalbums uit gedurende een carrière van 15 jaar, waarvan de meest succesvolle I Robot (1977), The Turn of a Friendly Card (1980) en Eye in the Sky (1982) waren. Veel van hun albums zijn conceptueel van aard en richten zich op sciencefiction, bovennatuurlijke, literaire en sociologische thema's. Enkele van de populairste nummers van de groep zijn "I Wouldn't Want to Be Like You", "Games People Play", "Time", "Sirius"/"Eye in the Sky" en "Don't Answer Me".
