Dolly Rebecca Parton (geboren op 19 januari 1946) is een Amerikaanse zangeres, songwriter, muzikant, actrice en filantroop, vooral bekend als country-muzikante. Nadat ze succes boekte als songwriter voor anderen, werd Partons debuutalbum Hello, I'm Dolly uitgebracht in 1967, waarmee een carrière begon die 60 jaar beslaat en 49 studioalbums telt. Haar negentennat solo-studioalbum Rockstar (2023) werd haar hoogste Billboard 200-notering, met een piek op nummer drie.

Gewaardeerd als een "country-legende", heeft Parton wereldwijd meer dan 100 miljoen platen verkocht, waardoor ze een van de bestverkopende muziekartiesten aller tijden is. Haar muziek omvat door de Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) gecertificeerde goud-, platina- en multi-platina-awards. Ze heeft 25 singles die nummer 1 bereikten op de Billboard-country-muzieklijsten, een record voor een vrouwelijke artiest (gedeeld met Reba McEntire). Ze heeft 44 carrière Top 10-country-albums, een record voor elke artiest, en ze heeft 110 carrière-gerangschikte singles in de afgelopen 40 jaar. Parton heeft meer dan 3.000 nummers geschreven, waaronder "I Will Always Love You" (twee keer top van de US country-chart, en een mondiaal hit voor Whitney Houston), "Jolene", "Coat of Many Colors" en "9 to 5".
