In zeer goede en mooie staat verkerende set wierookbranders met Foo Dogs & Lachende Boeddha - "Xuande Baoding" merk.
Periode 1970-1980
Beide stukken zijn versierd met diepe reliëfsnijdingen en een rijke culturele symboliek.
Deksels: Bekroond met een krachtige Foo Dog (Boeddhistische tempelleeuw), een traditioneel symbool voor bescherming, kracht en welvaart. De deksels zijn opengewerkt (geperforeerd) zodat de wierookrook er elegant uit kan ontsnappen.
Buik: Voorzien van een prominente afbeelding van de Lachende Boeddha (Budai) omringd door traditionele Chinese karakters, wat symbool staat voor geluk, rijkdom en tevredenheid.
Oren/Handvaten: Prachtig vormgegeven handvaten in de vorm van mythologische wezenkoppen.
Bodemmerk: De onderkant is voorzien van een rond apocrief zegelmerk in kanschrift met de tekst "Xuande Baoding" (宣德寶鼎). Dit verwijst naar de klassieke Xuande-periode uit de Ming-dynastie en betekent letterlijk "Kostbaar wierookvat van Xuande".
Conditie:In zeer mooie en schone vintage staat met een prachtige goudgele patina. De binnenkant van de deksels vertoont enkele typische donkere gietresten en kleine groene oxidatievlekjes uit het productieproces, wat volstrekt normaal is voor objecten van deze leeftijd. Eén rand heeft een klein, onopvallend giethaarscheurtje uit de gieterij

Body: Features a prominent depiction of the Laughing Buddha (Budai) surrounded by traditional Chinese characters, symbolizing happiness, wealth, and contentment.
Ears/Handles: Beautifully crafted handles shaped like the heads of mythological creatures.
Base Mark: The underside bears a round apocryphal seal mark in script reading "Xuande Baoding" (宣德寶鼎). This refers to the classic Xuande period of the Ming Dynasty and literally translates to "Precious Incense Vessel of Xuande."
Condition: In very fine, clean vintage condition with a beautiful golden-yellow patina. The interiors of the lids show some typical dark casting residues and small green oxidation spots from the manufacturing process—completely normal for objects of this age. One rim has a small, inconspicuous hairline casting flaw from the foundry.
