- HONEY DREAMS - ORIGINAL Painting, character portraiture by ARVY The painting is 100% hand-painted using highly pigmented artist-grade acrylic paints and finished with a UV-protective satin varnish. It is created on unprimed, firm, robust, and kink-resistant gallery-quality canvas (360 g/m²) without a stretcher frame. Dimensions: 100x165 cm (entire canvas) Artwork Overview: HONEY DREAMS A golden reverie tinged with heavy subconscious weight. Four dark figures stand shoulder-to-shoulder, submerged in a rich, intoxicating stillness. Their crowns rise in glowing shades of gold, soft pink, purple, and sky-blue—monuments to a collective, dreamlike royalty hovering above heavy-lidded gazes and exposed, gilded grins. Together, they form an uncanny court adrift in a state of hypnotic suspension, caught between sweet surrender and quiet vigilance. The saturated, honey-yellow field creates a warm, humid atmosphere, cut through by electric flashes of hot pink, crimson slashes, and loose blue chalk markings. Layered paint drips and frantic grid scrawls vibrate across the surface, giving the impression of thoughts bleeding through a golden veil. Nothing is fully awake. Nothing is entirely asleep. HONEY DREAMS explores the sweet, suffocating nature of desire and memory. It is a portrait of psychological indulgence, where identity, sovereign weight, and raw instinct remain suspended in a golden haze—unresolved, intoxicating, and deeply entrenched in the quiet heat of the mind. He studied painting at an art college, graduating in 2016, and has been active in the art world ever since. Raised in a creative household, ARVY began his artistic path in childhood while assisting his father — painter, illusionist and performer Arvydas Gaičiūnas ( Retne ), co-founder of Magic Theater DiArchy. This early exposure to both visual art and stage performance shaped his distinctive, theatrical sensibility. ARVY’s work is eclectic and emotionally charged, blending elements of contemporary expressionism, symbolism, street energy, and poetic abstraction. His pieces explore contrasts — chaos and harmony, intuition and control — reflecting the pulse of modern life through vivid color and raw gesture. He has exhibited internationally and his works are held in private collections across Europe. Beyond painting, ARVY is also known for his creative versatility as a musician and digital creator, bringing the same intensity and imagination to sound, movement, and image.
