Exceptional pair of antique oak chairs with caned back & brass handles – ca. 1900–1920


Exceptional and elegant pair of antique oak chairs, dating from circa 1900–1920, featuring hand-woven cane back panels and rare original brass carrying handles mounted on the top rail.
The chairs are crafted from solid oak and display refined period details such as turned spindles beneath the backrest, carved finials, and beautifully proportioned legs.

The presence of brass handles is a distinctive and uncommon feature, typically found on higher-quality seating from the late 19th and early 20th century.

The seats are upholstered in dark leather (or leather-like material), secured with decorative brass studs, and remain comfortable and firm.
