Très beau casque à pointe allemand (Pickelhaube) retrouvé en vidant une maison près de Verdun.

Casque qui a une histoire particulière. Nous pouvons voir sur celui-ci les trous destinés à un usage militaire ainsi qu'à un usage pompier.
Ayant été retrouvé avec les attributs militaires, cela veut dire qu'il était à l'origine destiné à cet usage, puis est passé en usage pompiers, puis repassé en usage militaire.
Ce qui est très peu courant, et en fait une pièce d'exception.

Lors de la découverte, les punaises qui tenaient les insignes et la pointe étaient très usées et ne tenaient plus, elles ont donc été changées.

Le reste du casque est très solide (cuir bouilli).
Intérieur et jugulaire présents, avec marquage " 44 8" = numéro d'unité / affectation.

L'insigne principal présente une réparation de terrain qui reste solide.

N'hésitez pas face à cette pièce d'histoire qui a un passé insolite !
