Federico Alibrio presents a hand-signed resin and diplast relief titled Moths - Vertical and horizontal, edition 21/50, created in 2026 in Italy, measuring 38 cm wide by 22 cm high and 4 cm deep, featuring a two-tone composition with a light-coloured moth above a dark one and a back wall-hanging hole with an accompanying certificate of authenticity in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
This artwork features an elegant relief of two moths, each placed within a dark frame that highlights their details. The upper part shows a moth sculpted in a light tone, while the lower part presents the same figure in a dark color, creating an intriguing visual contrast. Both moths are depicted with meticulous attention to detail in their wings and bodies, suggesting a delicate and almost ethereal beauty that contrasts with the robustness of the frame.
The choice to use contrasting colors not only highlights the symmetry of the moths but also invites reflection on the dualities of nature: light and darkness, vulnerability and strength. The piece captures the essence of these nocturnal insects, symbols of transformation and metamorphosis, evoking a sense of wonder and curiosity. The artist's signature, located at the bottom, adds a personal touch, making this relief not just a decorative object but also an invitation to contemplate the subtle beauty that surrounds everyday life.
On the back, there is a hole for wall mounting. The artwork will be shipped in careful packaging along with the corresponding certificate of authenticity.
The Sicilian artist Federico Alibrio, born in 1995, is always in search of inspiration to grow through new experiences.
Having graduated in Sculpture in 2021 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania, he specializes in sculpture and painting. He has participated and continues to participate in high-profile cultural exhibitions and symposiums, demonstrating commitment and dedication to his sculptural practice.
