"V as Vase" is a wall jewel, a sculptural piece that delicately outfits your walls in seasonal colors; unfold your dried flowers in the hollow of its V-shaped neckline to enjoy them all year round.
The hand-made silver mirror leaf gilding gives it its unique character and vintage patina. This original work was conceived in France by designer-artist Caroline Schilling; it is signed by hand on the left profile of the piece.

• CAROLINE SCHILLING’S APPROACH
Designer-artist, graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (ENSAD) in Paris, her unusual works have been exhibited at Paris’ Maison et Objet fair (Best of MOM selection), at Brussels Collectible Fair, and in galleries in Paris, Nantes and elsewhere (Oscar, Antique Lightings ...)

In her world beauty hides where you least expect it; for her, using the right medium reveals the extraordinary in everything around us, and it is the small details that make all the difference. In short, she sees potential everywhere and her creative approach highlights the anecdotal, the ineffable, even the ordinary; she adds a soulful touch to everyday objects.

With her first collection "WAW!" she brought to life objects and expressions that had fallen into disuse, materializing them as quirky functional sculptures. Always at the crossroads of applied and fine arts, her polymorphic artistic vision is full of surprises, and with this new piece, named "V as Vase," Caroline Schilling invites us even more to change our perspective on what surrounds us.

• RECOMMENDATIONS & INSTALLATION
- Upon receipt, meticulously unpack the piece and handle it with care.
- Wall mounting is straightforward: drill, insert a wall plug, slide the brass collar of the escutcheon over a screw, screw the screw halfway into the wall, suspend the strap by its large loop, and finish screwing the screw to clamp the steel loop of the strap between the wall and the brass collar; then tighten the chrome part of the escutcheon to complete the suspended vase and adorn it with dried flowers.
