Product Description

Kamakura-bori Mini Chest - Wooden - Showa Period (1926-1989)

This vintage, three-drawer wooden chest is a beautiful example of Kamakura-bori, a traditional Japanese lacquerware technique known for its deep carvings. Crafted from solid wood, the vibrant red and black lacquer surface is intricately hand-carved with bamboo motifs and honeycomb patterns, creating visual depth and tactile sensations.

This small chest is perfect for storing jewelry, writing implements, mementos, and more, adding a sophisticated touch to vintage and Japanese-style interiors.
