Description from the seller
Set of two large African flags
1. Beautiful large flag of Benin in the original colors green, yellow and red. The flag has the distinctive layout with a green band on the hoist and yellow on the upper right and red on the lower right. Made from thick quality cotton. With light signs of wear.
This flag belongs to the classic design that was officially in use again both before 1975 and from 1990. Due to its size and cotton material, a beautiful decorative flag.
Size: 136 x 285 cm
2. Old flag of Cameroon circa late 1970s
An authentic and used specimen with clear signs of age and wear, which gives this flag its character.
The current flag of Cameroon was officially adopted in 1975. The three vertical colors are based on the Pan-African colors, which symbolize unity and independence in Africa.
Cameroon has a particular colonial history: the country was first under German administration, and after World War I it was divided between France and the United Kingdom. In 1960, French Cameroon gained independence, followed by reunification with part of British Cameroon in 1961.
Size: 268 x 140 cm
