This rare Bentley MK VI first series is complete with all documentation of origin from the factory. It was ordered new through the historic dealer Jack Barclay Ltd of London, still in business today for the Esquire Mr C.J. Donada of Farnham, Surrey, in England, a famous wealthy Englishman with a passion for Bentleys and Rolls Royces.

The list of optional extras requested at the time of order is very long indeed and includes a sunroof, a pair of custom-made bucket seats in place of the normal “panettone” seats; special specifications including a rare period radio (still fitted), a working 8-day power reserve clock and fully customised engine and interior.

In 1950 it was sold to Brigadier J.M. Evans from the same area, while in 1955 it was traded in for a new sports car by the famous dealer and racer Duncan Hamilton Ltd, which still exists today.

In the 1990s, it was imported to Italy by an enthusiast through a dealer specialising in English cars and received a complete restoration of the body, interior and mechanics, and was only used for rallies and events.

These early MK VI series are highly sought after, being the first to be produced immediately after the war and with a really
smooth design and small size.

It was registered in Italy and entered in the ASI registry (Automotoclub Storico Italiano) as a classic car.

In the last few months, it has undergone many documented works for over €4,500 (see photos), including a restoration of the rare front seats in original English leather imported directly in the original colour, a complete mechanical overhaul of suspension, brakes, starter motor.

The technical inspection was passed in December 2021 and is valid until December 2023.
