MG B Roadster MKI from 1966

The MGB was released as a two-door sports car produced from 1962 to 1980 by the British Motor Corporation (BMC), later by the Austin-Morris division of British Leyland as a four-cylinder sports car with a soft-top. Other variants followed such as the MGB GT three-door 2+2 coupé (1965-1980), the six-cylinder sports car and coupé MGC (1967-1969), and the eight-cylinder 2+2 coupé, the MGB GT V8 (1973-76).

To replace the MGA in 1962, production of the MGB and its variants continued until 1980. Sales of the MGB, MGC and MGB GT V8 together amounted to 523,836 cars.
The development of the MGB began as early as 1958 with the prototype known as Abingdon; MG EX205. In terms of structure, the car was seen as a progressive, modern design in 1962.

The colour combination of this MG B is very tasteful, the bodywork is painted in Racing Green. A very nice contrast with the black interior. The seats are finished with white piping. 

This B Roadster MkI was originally delivered new in California. The car has a Dutch registration since 1995. Many mileage readings throughout its history have been kept on the inspection reports among other things. The MG has a folder with various documents including the original American title and a license plate which are a nice addition to the car’s history.

The MG is in fine condition and was restored in California in 1994. The paintjob is still in very good condition. The sills, mudguards, doors, bonnet and boot lid have a neat fit. The black vinyl soft-top looks neat. 

Beautiful options such as the 'chrome' wire wheels, the cover for the soft-top, the luggage rack and a Blaupunkt radio complete the car.

If you as an MG enthusiast are looking for a beautiful, properly driving B Roadster MkI and want to participate in a classic car rally, then this is the time to enjoy this car.

Nice daily driver with some cosmetic imperfections to the paintwork as can be seen in the detailed photos.
