Acoma - Mini Comtesse - 1972

Now it's time to make room for something new. The vehicle is from the first series, of which only a few specimens have survived until today; it is recognisable by the lack of reinforcement in the middle of the door and the handbrake.

if you want to get a really good impression of the incredible brilliance of the French engineers who came up with this gem, there is an in-depth test that you should watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wi6JXwKwJ5k&t=148s

“Jason drives” explains the background of the Mini Comtesse and makes an extensive test drive. If you’ve seen that, you will know quite well what to expect.

The Sachs engine with a displacement of 47cc (2-speed automatic transmission) was completely overhauled, it starts well and runs smoothly. Unfortunately, with the 47cc displacement, the power spectrum is quite limited and not particularly well-suited for driving uphill. The only change I made is a hand throttle, so I can steer the car from the outside and relieve it of my weight, while pushing it up slight inclines. This is a real single-seater, if you intend to take passengers with you, the situation will be very intimate. However, there is plenty of space for a bread, cigarettes and other smaller items.

If you have any questions about this car, feel free to contact me via Catawiki. If the destination is not too far away from me, I can deliver the car. Please get in touch with me via Catawiki if you are interested.
This is a private sale; the vehicle comes with the original brochure, operating instructions and the original Sachs service booklet.
