This is a rare Saab Sonnet with a 1971 plate. The Saab Sonnet was a limited edition model made only for the US market. Approx 5000 were produced and there are only a few throughout Europe, so it is a rare collectors car. 

Seller imported this car from the US in July 2020 as project car. During that time the car has been in his garage. Some work has been done: the underside has been completely renewed and welded. 

Although the odometer reads 25.000 miles, there are 75.000 miles recorded in the Carfax report. Also are recorded no issues or accidents. 

The garage engine is now running very well, and sounds great, which suggests a low mileage car, along with the gear box which shifts and drives. The brake system has been generally renewed and is working well. 

The car is sold as an unfinished project.  The body is fiberglass and in very good shape. Currently the front windscreen is removed as the car was being prepared for painting but would be shipped also with the car.

Original seats are in good condition. Carpets have been removed and need replacing but are available. Parts are generally available via Skandix or other social media expert Sonnet sites. There is currently a small air vent window missing, but cheap and easily available. 

The next steps of the renovation was to renew all the electrics, respray the car its original orange colour, and upholstery. 

The car is on American plates. All import taxes have been paid, so just local registration required.
