Mercedes-Benz R107 450 SL from 1979, in good overall condition.

In characteristic configuration of the time with its metallic grey colour and navy blue upholstery, mounted on Baroque wheels, this SL perfectly embodies the trends of the 1970s.

The 450SL version is equipped with the 4.5L V8 engine which has a staggering amount of torque, more authentic than the 380 but with less fuel consumption than its 500 and 560 cousins, this convertible is clearly the perfect cruiser for your road trips, escapism guaranteed.

This SL was imported from the state of Ohio in September 2015 to the Netherlands where it underwent a partial restoration and then to France in 2020 where it was treated to a full paint job and other improvements:
replacement of the suspension arms, brake calipers, new battery, rear shock absorbers, spark plugs and conversion of the bumpers and headlights from US to EU ones. 

It is in good overall condition, the underbody shows no perforations and indicates previous restoration.
The chassis is sound and free of rust and corrosion.

The paintwork is new (April 2022) and shiny and the chrome parts are gleaming.

Some imperfections of adjustments to be expected on the body parts (shown in the photos).

The soft top is in poor condition and needs to be replaced.
A hardtop, which is well sealed, comes with the vehicle.

The upholstery was redone.

The mechanics are in good shape and the engine can breathe fully. 

The running gear and steering also behave well without any abnormal play. 

This vehicle is equipped with power windows and a fully functional air-conditioning system, which will most likely need to be recharged or serviced. 

The cruise control needs servicing, abnormal operation.

All instruments work properly and the vintage radio is in place (not visible in the photos).

Delivery possible throughout France and Europe.

Valid French classic car registration and up to date MOT (less than 6 months old).
