Volvo 480ES phase 1, from June 1987. It falls under the Dutch transitional arrangement for tax purposes. This Volvo was imported in the Netherlands in 1996, presumably from France or Belgium. After only 3 years with 1 owner, the 480 was traded in in 1999 and then left in stock at a small, local garage. Please note, it has been standing still for 23 years! It is the model from 1987 with a 1.7i engine, with only 175,976 km on the counter. The engine runs well again after a new battery and some fresh petrol! The clutch and brakes work. Everything will of course need to be checked including the electrics. Some of it works, but the headlights, for example, don't open.
In terms of bodywork, there is mainly work on the rear wheel arch edges. The bottom, sills, etc. are very hard!
The interior is neat, see photos, the front seats were replaced in the past by seats in a different colour. The Volvo is equipped with a Vermeulen-Hollandia folding roof.
Nice modern classic project with the original instructions from 1987 in the glove compartment.
The Volvo can roll for transport. I can help you with obtaining the right export papers. I also have various contacts for transport within Europe. I can arrange a quote by mutual agreement.
It is recommended to view the car prior to placing a bid in order to prevent disappointment afterwards. Please contact Catawiki to schedule an appointment.
