This car is exempt from Dutch road tax.

Very neat, rust-free BMW E28 520i with a 2L 6-cylinder engine. This BMW has been driving around in Italy since at least 1985 until it was exported to the Netherlands in early 2021. Because the car spent its life in Italy, it is dry and hard.

This BMW 520 was given an ASI certificate in Italy in 2008.

The car has always been indoors since I have had it. Apart from some surface rust on the exhaust and mounting brackets, the BMW is rust free. Sills, bottom, wheel arches, chassis all hard and in very good condition. The engine runs well and sounds great. The gearbox does its job and the clutch is very easy to use since replacing the clutch cylinder. The engine and gearbox are slightly damp from the oil. The exterior is in good condition except for a few imperfections (see photos). The car has sustained some dents over the years such as a dent on the front left door. Minimal stone chips and the chrome is in good condition. The bottom of the doors and wheel arches are in perfect condition.

The car was partly resprayed at some point. Some panels have a colour difference.

The interior hasn’t been smoked in, it’s in good condition. The front left seat could do with a minor repair.

One of the best-known problems of the E28, the instrument cluster, has already been overhauled. All gauges work properly except for the maintenance indicator which has been cancelled due to the cluster modification.

Works carried out since early 2021:
- New ignition module
- Used air meter
- New tyres
- Clutch cylinder replaced
- Speed sensor differential replaced
