Der Austin-Healey wurde bis auf die letzte Schraube zerlegt, jedes Teil geprüft, restauriert und wieder zusammengebaut. Um dies zu erkunden, schauen Sie sich bitte die ca. 270 Fotos dieser Auktion an. 

Erstmals zugelassen wurde dieser Roadster mit der Fahrgestellnummer BN4LS70805 in den USA. Über die Jahre fand schon einmal eine komplette Restaurierung des Wagens statt. Matching Numbers sind laut Austin-Healey „Heritage Certificate“ für die Originalität des Motors und des Getriebes gegeben. Ebenfalls verfügt der 100/6 über einen sauberen kalifornischen Titel für die korrekte Eigentumsübertragung. Ein H-Gutachten für eine eventuelle Zulassung in Deutschland hat der Austin-Healey bereits, wurde jedoch noch nicht zugelassen.

Pneus der Marke Vredestein sind auf den originalen Stahlfelgen mit Chromradkappen aufgezogen: Die Reifen weisen ausreichend Profil auf und die Felgen verfügen augenscheinlich über keinerlei Bordsteinkratzer. 70-90% ihres Neuzustandes weisen die Bremsen des 100/6 auf, die Vorderradaufhängung wurde komplett erneuert und die Hinterradaufhängung ist mit einem modernen TÜV-zertifizierten Teleskopsystem aufgerüstet.

Vollständig neu kam die cremeweiße Lederausstattung dieses Austin-Healey 100/6: Leder, Fußraumteppich wurden erneuert, das Lenkrad mit schwarzem Leder bezogen und auch das Armaturenbrett gänzlich mit cremeweißen Leder bedeckt. Auch sämtliche Bedienelemente und Instrumente im Interieur des Roadsters sind vollständig erhalten und in einer äußerst guten Verfassung vorzufinden. Der Kofferraum ist gepolstert und verfügt über eine Matte. Mängel im gesamten Innenraum des Austin-Healey sind nicht anzumerken.

Chromumrandet präsentieren sich die Smiths-Instrumente, auf denen ein Meilenstand von 2.340 abgelesen werden kann. Der Wagen wurde kürzlich komplett restauriert und neu aufgebaut. Seit der Restaurierung wurde der Wagen nur knapp 100 km gefahren. Ein Scheckheft zum Roadster liegt nicht vor. Sämtlichen Instrumenten und Anzeigen im Interieur des 100/6 kann eine vollständige Funktion zugesprochen werden.

Angetrieben wird dieser 100/6 von einem BMC C-Serie Reihensechszylindermotor, der 2,6-Liter Hubraum aufweist. Der Kolben sowie auch das Kolbenhemd sind erneuert worden und das ideale Kompressionsverhältnis beträgt 8,7:1. Dieser Motor verfügt über zwei SU-Vergaser. Er ist mit 117 PS angegeben. Zur besseren Regulierung des Luft-Treibstoff-Gemisches im Vergaser wurde ein Regulierungs-Kit eingebaut.
Neben dem Motor wurde auch das 4-Gang Schaltgetriebe einer Restaurierung unterzogen.
Komplett sandgestrahlt und restauriert präsentiert sich der einwandfreie Unterbodenzustand dieses Austin-Healey 100/6.
