Talbot - Matra Murena - NO RESERVE - 1983

The Matra Murena is a sports car manufactured by Matra, a historic French sports brand. It is unique in that it is made with fibreglass, with a rear engine, 5-speed gearbox and three comfortable front seats. This car is from 1983 and has travelled just 105,007 km. The body is free of rust, as it is made of resin. It has recently been polished and is in good condition, with its original typical adhesives, opening top and alloy rims. The original interior is beige with the typical chequered pattern, with inserts in wood, and is very well preserved - comfortable and usable. The three seats are useful for a family outing and always elicit curiosity at rallies. The engine starts easily. A new battery has been installed, and the power system has been overhauled. It can be driven in private areas. In any case, the car's technical inspection expired in November 2018 and it has been idle since then. A general servicing for the brakes is necessary before being taken on the road, and the tyres are over 10 years old. The underbody is very solid, with no traces of accidents and no subsequent soldering (see photos). A compression test on the engine had excellent results. The electrical system is in working order, including the headlamps. All papers in order and ready for transfer of ownership or export Some videos of the car, engine and road driving are available. A high-resolution photo gallery is also available and is part of this description, on the seller’s website. Please ask Catawiki. Bidders are also welcome to view and test the vehicle, which is located in Quarrata 51039 (PT), Italy. Please send a message to Catawiki to arrange an appointment on site; you can also book a video call from your smartphone. We can arrange transfer of ownership or exports documents remotely. Affordable shipping to Italy, Europe and rest of the world. You can also conveniently pick up the car on site, as it can stay 15 days at our storage facility free of charge. We recommend viewing the vehicle before the end of the auction, even via a video call on your smartphone (WhatsApp, FaceTime). Please send a message to Catawiki for an appointment. The seller reserves the right to claim compensation if the buyer does not pay for the purchase which comes automatically into existence with the winning bid and obliges the buyer to make the payment, as per the sales contract available on the seller’s website.
