Chrysler - Grand Voyager SE "NO RESERVE" - 1992

1992 Chrysler Grand Voyager SE (Long wheel base). Sold and registered brand new in Madrid (Spain) in May 1992 under European specifications and type approvals as Chrysler Grand Voyager, based on the original American model Dodge Grand Caravan. (Export version km/h). It is powered by the 3.3L front-wheel drive V6 engine with 150 HP (the largest engine in '92 for 2WD models). It currently has 222,000 km on the dial and has had 2 owners before the current holder. The original owner was an affluent family from Madrid with 3 children, and both the second and current owners are VAN enthusiasts who have used it for recreational purposes. With Spanish documentation, insurance and valid MOT. The car is in perfect working order, ready to drive anywhere in Europe. All kilometres have been driven on long journeys. Currently it only has the owner's manual and no service book (which is common for vehicles of this type). It has recently undergone several overhauls and repairs. It has new tyres (with about 1000 km of use), new spark plugs, new spark plug wires, all transmission, engine, steering pump and brake oils have been replaced. The three-speed automatic gearbox with overdrive was completely remanufactured at 195,000 km (4 years ago) by the original owner and is still in perfect working order. It was entirely painted in its original 'Twilight Blue Pearl Coat' colour while retaining the original SE trim aesthetics with grey bumpers with a red stripe. It comes with extensive standard equipment: - power steering and ABS (standard across the 1992 range); - electric windows in the driver's and passenger's doors; electric rear windows (C- and D-pillar) with roof-mounted switch in the centre console; - leather upholstery; - power driver's seat; - armrests (captain chair); - original Mopar cassette radio with Dolby Digital Noise Reduction (NR); - air conditioning in the front with independent heating and air conditioning system in the rear (second and third row seats); - original sport front fog lights; - height-adjustable headlights; - heated rear window; - on-board computer; - glasses holder and garage door opener button; - cruise control; - storage compartment in the dashboard and under the passenger seat; - power mirrors; - alloy rims. The car is currently used occasionally at weekends and due to its use and the passage of time some defects have arisen. - Minor tear in the driver's seat. Easy to fix. - Check the front brake pads (the braking is starting to feel difficult, it would be advisable to check and replace the brake pads). - One day the Dome light was permanently switched on. A battery switch was temporarily fitted until the relay was replaced and the installation checked. This same relay controls the intermittent timer of the windscreen wiper system, so now it only operates at normal and fast speed (the intermittent system for very low rainfall is no longer active). - The car was painted two and a half years ago; although the paintwork is apparently perfect, there are minor areas where the passage of time is beginning to show (on the front bonnet there are some marks on the varnish, almost imperceptible, but there they are), and on the right-hand side there are some minor corrugations that are barely noticeable. To achieve a competition-quality finish, it would be advisable to take it to a rodder to have it restored. In short, it is one of the most emblematic icons of the mid-1980s and early 1990s, a direct legacy of the first family minivan on the market developed by Lee Iacocca when he introduced the Chrysler Voyager and the Dodge Caravan in 1983. A model that is already 30 years old and is rare to find in this superb condition. It is ready to be enjoyed with family and friends and to be driven on the road. The car is located in Barcelona, Spain.
