Triumph - Spitfire Mk3 - NO RESERVE - 1969

- Technically in well-driving condition - Spoke wheels - Chrome luggage rack - German H license plate with valid TÜV - In possession of the previous owner for 15 years - It is a well-running project car - TÜV through September 2024 - TÜV reports from past years are available The first Spitfire was built in 1962. The Italian design came from Michelotti, whilst the mechanical part was almost entirely taken from the Triumph Herald. The last Spitfire was produced in August 1980. At that time, some 314,342 cars had rolled off the production line, 242,918 of which were exported, mostly to North America. This Spitfire was originally supplied in Europe. Technically well maintained / kept with a valid German TÜV until September 2024. Equipped with a later type Spitfire bonnet / engine bonnet. The chassis is in good and solid condition, the bodywork needs attention. There is various damage, spots of rust and other areas for improvement. The last owner drove the car like this for about 15 years and invested in a lot of technical maintenance. The car can be used as is, but (partial) restoration is also a nice option. We have photographed these details as well as possible, but you are more than welcome to come and inspect the car yourself at our location. Technically, much has been renewed in recent years, such as the rear part of the exhaust (stainless steel), battery, starter, electronic ignition, various (cooling) hoses, clutch cylinder, etc. Comes with a tonneau cover and an almost new soft top. A beautiful and well-driving project for the real enthusiast! The car can be viewed and picked up in Oldemarkt, the Netherlands. We can also arrange export papers and transport for you. You are more than welcome to come and view the car in our showroom and take it for a test drive before you place a bid.
