Ferrari - 208 GTS "NO RESERVE" - 1981

- GTS Carburettor version produced in 140 units. - Italian, two owners since new, matching numbers. - Rare 'Iron Grey Metallic' colour, Cream interior, produced in fewer than 20 units. - Full bodywork restoration completed in 2022. - Constant maintenance and belts from 2023. - Air conditioning and original EZ power steering kit. - Full origin with manuals, service booklet, tool kit, jack. - ASI registered since 2010 with CRS. - Valid technical inspection until May 2025, no defects. - New Michelin TRX tyres. The Ferrari GTS is an iconic roadster from the Maranello company. Equipped with the legendary DINO's V8 engine, four double-body carburettors and a 5-speed manual gearbox, it has a top speed of 215 km/h. The car on auction is a collector's item: it has only had two owners, the last one since 1987. It has few original kilometres and is in the rare original 'Grey Metallic' colour with Beige interior. The entire history is documented. Between 2021-2022 it received a complete body restoration by a centre specialising in classic cars, bringing the metal to bare metal (see photos), and is in competition condition. The original interiors were completely disassembled, cleaned and restored where necessary and reinstalled, preserving all irreplaceable details and replacing all seals. Mechanically, the car, despite being used only during the summer, has always had regular maintenance; in fact, the registration booklet bears all the stickers from the previous technical inspections. The belts were replaced with new ones in 2022, along with the water pump. A specific invisible electric power steering kit for Ferrari, produced by EZ Power Steering, has been installed and makes the car a smooth and pleasant drive even in traffic. The air conditioning works well, the original Michelin TRX tyres are new. The underbody is in excellent original condition, it has never been in an accident and the yellow factory inspection marks are still present on the bolts. Please take a look at the photos. A rare, uncompromising collector's car, an investment opportunity for a Ferrari with all its equipment, known history and a recently completed bodywork restoration. Some videos of the car, of the engine and of the driving are available, please contact Catawiki. A high-resolution photo gallery is also available and is part of this description, on the seller’s website. We can arrange the transfer of ownership or export documents remotely. Affordable shipping to Italy, Europe and the rest of the world. You can also conveniently pick up the car on site, as it can stay at our storage facility for 15 days free of charge. We recommend viewing the vehicle before the end of the auction, even via a video call on your smartphone (WhatsApp, FaceTime). Please send a message to Catawiki for an appointment. The seller reserves the right to claim compensation if the buyer does not pay for the purchase, which shall automatically be deemed to have occurred with the winning bid and obliges the buyer to make the payment, as per the sales contract available on the seller’s website.
