The Fiat 1300 S Coupé Vignale is a rare bespoke car, produced in very small quantities, which played an important role in the design of Italian GT cars in the 60s and 70s.

It has two distinctive features: the rounded shape of the bonnet, which creates a unique and high beltline connected to the window area, and the peculiar ‘closure’ of the rear window, which appears almost vertical.
In an interview at the time of its launch, Alfredo Vignale said that this car (like its larger sibling, the 1500 S Sportiva) was ‘the car that didn't exist’, meaning that in those years there was no mid-range GT of this kind on the market.

Among the options available to buyers was the possibility of a more powerful engine.
The interior is essentially the same as that of the saloon, with a decent amount of space given the 2+2 layout of the model. The dashboard is finished with a beautiful wood panel and a splendid Nardi sports steering wheel is fitted as standard.
Around 50 units were produced.

The Fiat 1300 S Vignale up for auction is one of the 50 produced. It is a rare car of great interest to collectors.
