De Porsche 356 die we hier te koop aanbieden is niet zomaar een 356. Het gaat hier om een originele Karmann Coupé, ook wel de Notchback genoemd. De auto is volgens het Porsche certificaat gebouwd in december 1961, maar in 1962 is de auto geregistreerd in USA, dus het registratie jaar is 1962.

Dit model werd zeer kort bij Karmann gebouwd op de productielijn van de Porsche 356 cabriolet. Doordat Porsche de vraag naar de Coupe niet aan kon, werd deze productielijn tijdelijk omgebouwd. In feite zijn deze 600 stuks cabriolet modellen met een hard dak en daardoor nu erg zeldzaam. Een model dat geliefd is onder verzamelaars. 

De Porsche 356B Notchback die we hier te koop aanbieden is in het verleden gerestaureerd en verkeert zowel optisch als technisch in een goede staat. Hij wordt aangedreven door een periodecorrecte 1600cc 4-cilinder Porsche motor. De auto rijdt, remt en schakelt. 

De 356 staat nog op Amerikaanse title, import en invoerbelastingen zijn betaald.

Het eerste wat opvalt bij het zien van deze Porsche 356B Karmann Notchback is natuurlijk zijn unieke carrosserie. De unieke lijnen zijn met geen andere Porsche 356 te vergelijken en geven deze klassieker een uniek en onderscheidend karakter. 

Het beigekleurige lakwerk verkeert in een nette staat en heeft hier en daar wat kleine gebruikssporen. 

Het interieur van de Porsche is uitgerust met bruine lederen bekleding en heeft wat sporen van slijtage/gebruikssporen. 

Het is raadzaam om het voertuig eerst te bekijken alvorens te bieden om teleurstellingen achteraf te voorkomen.
