Oggetto cult della storia del design, la 9090 di Alessi firmata da Sapper è  un esempio significativo  di Design Object nella categoria degli accessori strettamente legati al mondo del food.
Si tratta di un progetto del 1978 ed è la prima caffettiera da espresso di Alessi premiata del 1979 con il Compasso d’Oro,  il quarto ricevuto in carriera da Sapper.
La caffettiera 9090 è stato anche il primo oggetto prodotto da Alessi per la cucina dopo gli anni ’30  ed il primo di  Alessi ad entrare nella Permanent Design Collection del MOMA di New York.
La caffettiera Alessi è realizzata interamente in acciaio inossidabile 18/10. Tecnologico è il sistema di apertura e chiusura  brevettato  con un’azione a leva. Il serraggio del corpo superiore avviene  con un solo semplice movimento.
Forme eleganti e ricerca funzionali sono le caratteristiche di questo iconico progetto realizzato in acciaio inox 18/10 lucido all’esterno e satinato all’interno.
