Hartelijk dank voor uw interesse in onze Mercedes Benz 220 SE C Cabriolet.

Carrosserie/Lakwerk: Het exterieur toont zich nog goed zoals u op de foto's kunt zien. De Mercedes is midden 2000 gestraald en opnieuw gespoten door een erkende auto spuiterij die alleen classic Mercedes werkzaamheden doet. Natuurlijk is er weer gekozen voor de originele kleur die bij chassis nummer hoort. Er is ook een foto van het typeplaatje aanwezig zodat u het chassisnummer kunt controleren op authenticiteit. Natuurlijk lijkt de lak nog steeds erg goed door het weinige gebruik van de Mercedes. Maar natuurlijk zijn ook nog wel enkele kleine gebruikerssporen & ouderdomssporen door de jaren heen te vinden. 

Technisch: Eind jaren 2000 is hij door een oud Mercedes arbeider deels gerestaureerd & gereviseerd. De automaat versnellingsbak wat bijzonder is voor het jaar 1963! is ook volledig gereviseerd en na gekeken.
De pittige 6 cilinder lijnmotor is ook gereviseerd en klinkt fantastisch. De remmen zijn in 2021 nog na gekeken en opnieuw afgesteld verteld de eigenaar. De Mercedes rijdt, remt en schakelt heerlijk en zeer strak en goed nog.

Interieur: Het interieur verkeerd ook nog in een erg nette conditie. De lederen stoelen en achterbank voelen en zitten nog heerlijk aan.
De bekleding is in 2015 volledig behandeld en door een erkende interieur specialist op uiterlijk gerestaureerd. Dus met behoud van de originele delen is het éérste echte deel volledig opgeknapt wat de waarde van deze zeldzaamheid ook zal laten stijgen voor een purist die van originaliteit houd!
Natuurlijk door de jaren heen wel enkele kleine gebruikerssporen te vinden & ouderdomssporen.

Overige informatie:
Afkomstig van een echte liefhebber/verzamelaar. Hier heeft hij jaren verwarmd in de collectie binnen gestaan, en enkel bij mooi weer af en toe mee gereden.


Het cabrio dak is ook eind 2010 volledig opnieuw gedaan. En ziet er nu momenteel anno 2023 nog zeer goed uit. Dit is ook mede doordat deze Mercedes in een collectie heeft gestaan waar het 95% altijd donker was. Dit is om verkleuring van materialen te voorkomen dus overal is aan gedacht door de eigenaar ;-)

Chroomdelen zijn nagenoeg nog volledig origineel. Die waren nog in een goede staat tijdens de restauratie en zijn origineel gelaten. Dus niet opnieuw verchroomd. Sommige delen natuurlijk wel.

Kortom na ons idee een prachtige Mercedes die jaren in collectie heeft gestaan en is gekoesterd.

Van 1963 tot aan 1997 van de éérste eigenaar geweest die een bekende was van de huidige eigenaar. Die heeft deze 220 nieuw aangeschaft puur voor zijn lijnen en zoals hij zelf vertelde tegen de huidige eigenaar, ik genoot van het kijken naar de auto en niet om er mee te rijden. Ook hij heeft hem altijd in zijn garage gestald gehad. Dus betreft absoluut geen auto die veel kilometers heeft gereden. Dat is ook overal aan te zien zie bijvoorbeeld de pedalen, het stuur, en de versnellingspook dit ziet er na ruim 60 jaar nog perfect uit.
