Hier hebben we werkelijk een fantastische Oldsmobile Delta 88 V8 7.5 Royal Convertible Cabriolet uit 1974

De Delta 88 cabriolet uit 1974 was een klassieke Amerikaanse auto die de stijl en luxe van zijn tijd vertegenwoordigde. De Delta 88, geproduceerd door de Oldsmobile-divisie van General Motors, was een full-size auto die werd aangeboden als cabriolet, sedan en stationwagen.

De Delta 88 cabriolet had een slank en stijlvol ontwerp, met een lange motorkap en een kort dek, en een brede grille die werd geflankeerd door dubbele koplampen. De cabriokap was elektrisch bediend en als hij naar beneden was, onthulde hij een veel ruimte. 

Onder de motorkap ligt een dikke 7.5 V8 benzine motor die goed is voor 215 PK
Deze krachtige motor is gecombineerd met een soepele en responsieve automatische transmissie met drie versnellingen die zorgt voor een comfortabele en moeiteloze rijervaring. Hij heeft rembekrachtiging en stuurbekrachtiging.

De Motor  loopt mooi en de automatische versnellingsbak schakelt soepel door. 
APK gekeurd tot 13-3-2025.
Het rijden wordt nog leuker door de ingebouwde LPG tank van Stako in de kofferbak, zo rij je een V8 op een voordelige manier.

De auto is ooit opnieuw gespoten geweest en dat is niet heel professioneel gedaan, grof en niet strak.  De lak is in redelijke conditie op wat ouderdomspoortjes na, hier en daar een plekje is dan ook niet te missen. Het chassis en de bodem zijn verder hard. Het chroomwerk glimt nog mooi.

Het interieur met lederen stoelen is compleet, ook hier eveneens stevige ouderdomssporen en slijtage zoals de bestuurdersstoel.
Achter ruitje in cabrio kap ontbreekt, dak moet even nagekeken worden ging open, maar nu niet meer. Kap is aan vervanging toe.

Rijd prima. De dikke V8 klinkt als muziek in de oren.

Kentekenbewijs is compleet aanwezig.
