De R107-serie van Mercedes-Benz, in productie van 1971 tot 1989, werd gekenmerkt door zijn ongeëvenaarde robuustheid, verfijnde styling en baanbrekende veiligheidsvoorzieningen. De 450SL was een hoogtepunt in dit tijdperk vanwege zijn perfecte balans tussen prestatie en comfort, en het vermogen om zowel de open weg als de stadsstraten te domineren.

Deze specifieke 450SL staat mooi in zijn zeldzame kleurcode: 606G Maple Yellow lak.
