Technisch:
De motor van deze klassieke Volkswagen Kever cabriolet uit 1977 verkeert in uitstekende staat. Onlangs is de motor nogmaals volledig nagekeken door een gespecialiseerde garage in oldtimers. Dankzij deze uitgebreide technische check is de motor klaar voor vele zorgeloze kilometers. De motor start probleemloos, loopt soepel, en levert de vertrouwde prestaties die je van een iconische Kever mag verwachten. 

Carrosserie/lakwerk:
De lak heeft hier en daar wat gebruikssporen, maar ziet er over het algemeen nog zeer goed uit. De auto heeft geen deuken en geen noemenswaardige krassen. 

Onderhoudshistorie
De Kever heeft in 20214 een serieuze opknapbeurt gekregen (oa.nieuwe rechter kokerbalk en  een nieuwe kabelboom). In 2023 is het interieur van de Kever volledig onder handen genomen. De stoel zijn toen opnieuw bekleed en verder is de Kever gestoffeerd.

De Kever is tussen 2014 en nu een aantal keren bij een garage geweest voor kleine technische zaken. Vorig jaar is de Kever glansrijk door de APK gekomen bij TUV Rheinland in Barcelona na een road trip van 475km. Laatste APK is in de zomer van 2025 (juli/augustustus). In mei 2027 is de auto 50 jaar en verloopt de APK plicht. 

Overige informatie:
Ondanks het feit dat deze Kever een originele Kever Cabrio is uit de Karmann fabriek met chassisnr startend met ‘15’, heeft deze Kever door de jaren heen wat zijsporen genomen als het om originaliteit gaat. Zo is het chassis niet 100% meer origineel, omdat er een kokerbalk is vervangen, de bekleding en de stoffering zijn ook niet meer origineel, de ‘whitewall tires’ horen eigenlijk ook niet bij een Kever van 1977 en zo zijn er nog wel wat kleine items die voor een Kever purist wellicht misschien niet origineel zijn. Echter, voor een Kever liefhebber zal dit ongetwijfeld weinig uitmaken. De Kever ziet er gewoon prachtig en verzorgd uit.
