Reptile Fossil in Geode - Fossil skeleton - Barasaurus besairiei - 25 cm - 16 cm
Barasaurus besairiei aus dem Oberen Perm, Lopingium, Untere Sakamena Formation von Ranohira, Madagaskar.
Das Skelett wurde in einer Geode gefunden und ist vollständig original erhalten.
Besonders gut ist der Schädel erhalten.
Im Bereich der Rippen sind Gastrolithen (Magensteine) zu sehen.
Bergungsbedingte Brüche wurden restauriert. Am Fossil wurden nur minimale Restaurationen vorgenommen. Die weiche Knochensubstanz wurde konserviert.
Der Barasaurus ist etwa 22 cm lang.
Die Matrix ist etwa 25x16x4 cm groß.

Barasaurus besairiei from the Upper Perm, Lopingium, Lower Sakamena Formation of Ranohira, Madagascar.
The skeleton was found in a geode and is completely preserved.
The skull is particularly well preserved.
Gastroliths (stomach stones) are visible in the rib area.
Rescue-related fractures have been restored. Only minimal restorations were carried out on the fossil. The soft bone tissue has been preserved.
The Barasaurus is about 22 cm long.
The matrix is approximately 25x16x4 cm in size.
