STORIA/PANORAMICA
La Volkswagen Karmann Ghia "Type 14" è un'autovettura sportiva venduta col marchio Volkswagen tra il 1955 e il 1974 e assemblata dalla carrozzeria Karmann. Al Salone dell'automobile di Parigi del 1953 la Ghia presentò un prototipo di coupé su base Maggiolino. Karmann, in visita al salone, ne rimase impressionato e decise, in accordo con la carrozzeria di Torino di presentarlo alla Volkswagen che deliberò immediatamente la produzione. Questo esemplare ha avuto un solo proprietario dal 2010 ed è stata restaurata e mantenuta sempre in ottima efficienza.


ESTERNO
La carrozzeria esterna è nel bellissimo schema bicolore  "Ruby Red" con tetto Avorio ed è stata completamente restaurata professionalmente alcuni anni fa. Un trattamento di lucidatura e detailing è stato appena completato e la carrozzeria si presenta lucida e in bellissime condizioni. Un test spessimetro non ha evidenziato incidenti o riparazioni.

Anche il sottoscocca è stato restaurato in passato ed è in ottime condizioni, solido e pronto all'uso senza alcun bisogno di interventi.

INTERNO
I sedili sono originali come di nascita, in ottime condizioni come i pannelli porta, la consolle e il cielo. I vetri scendono e salgono correttamente, gli strumenti del cruscotto sono funzionanti come l'impianto elettrico e le serrature. Il volante in bachelite è in bellissime condizioni originali, come le modanature e le rifiniture.


MECCANICA
Meccanicamente l'auto ha il motore corrispondente come da carta di circolazione ed è ben funzionante, è sempre stato mantenuto in efficienza anche per lunghe percorrenze durante i raduni estivi. I controlli tecnici in passato sono stati regolarmente superati senza difetti, attualmente il controllo tecnico è valido fino a Settembre 2025 ed è stato superato senza difetti riscontrati.

Una vettura pronta all'uso  che raramente appare sul mercato in queste condizioni di originalità
