BMW 2002 (1973) - Classic German Sports Sedan.

This car is of Portuguese origin, with Portuguese registration papers. It has been a two-owner car, with the last owner since 1982. The car retains mostly original factory paint. The previous owner was a non-smoker, which has helped preserve the excellent interior condition.

Engine and Mechanical Condition:

This late 1973 BMW 2002 features the reliable M10 2.0L four-cylinder engine producing approximately 100hp. Being one of the first models with the updated square taillights, it represents an important transition in BMW 2002 design. The car runs well and has been maintained throughout its life. Recently the fuel and brake lines were redone. The technical inspection is current, and the vehicle demonstrates the solid engineering BMW was known for during this era.

Body & Paint Condition:

The vehicle retains its original factory paint throughout most of the body. The paintwork presents exceptionally well for a 50-year-old car, with good shine and consistent color across the panels. The body is remarkably solid and original with no rust issues, which is noteworthy for a car of this vintage. Some minor age-related wear is visible, including light surface scratches as expected from normal use over five decades. The chrome trim, bumpers, and characteristic BMW design elements remain in good condition.

Optional Extras/Equipment:

The vehicle features the period-correct BMW alloy wheels, which complement the car's sporty appearance. The interior showcases the classic BMW dashboard layout and clear instrumentation. The black vinyl seats with cloth inserts remain in excellent condition thanks to the non-smoking previous owner. The car retains a period-correct Blaupunkt radio, adding to its authentic character.

Known Issues/Defects:

No major mechanical issues are reported. The car presents well overall with typical minor wear items appropriate for its age. All major systems appear to function correctly, and the solid body condition suggests good long-term care by both owners. New tires will need to be fitted as the current ones are retro.

Current Location:

The vehicle is currently located in Portugal, where it can be inspected and collected. The car is sold on an "as is" basis with Portuguese registration papers.
