Mauro De Luca è un artista e fumettista, diplomato in pittura presso l'Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma. Ha iniziato la sua carriera nel mondo del fumetto negli anni '80, pubblicando storie su riviste come “Skorpio” e “Lanciostory” per l'Editoriale Eura. 

Illustrazione editoriale: ha collaborato con case editrici come De Agostini, Panini, Mondadori, Curcio, Giunti 
Giornalismo: ha realizzato illustrazioni per testate giornalistiche tra cui “La Repubblica”, “Il Messaggero”, “Il Manifesto” e “Max Italia”. 
Pubblicità: ha lavorato come illustratore e storyboard artist per agenzie pubblicitarie internazionali come Saatchi & Saatchi, J.W. Thompson e McCann-Erickson. 
Cinema: ha collaborato alla realizzazione di storyboard e scenografie per film diretti da registi come 

Fumetti e pubblicazioni.
De Luca ha lavorato principalmente per il mercato francese del fumetto, collaborando con editori come Les Humanoïdes Associés, Soleil, Le Lombard e Glénat. 
Tra le sue opere figurano:
“Soltrois” (Les Humanoïdes Associés), “Sian Loriel” (Le Lombard),”Carthage” (Soleil), “Thésée” e “Yttrium” (Glénat).
In Italia, ha realizzato una storia di “Tex” intitolata “La neve rossa”, pubblicata nel Maxi Tex del 2021. 
Per l’editore Lo Scarabeo ha realizzato “La Ballata di Hugo”, una biografia a fumetti di Hugo Pratt, creata in collaborazione con Bepi Vigna. L'opera offre uno sguardo approfondito sulla vita e le influenze del creatore di Corto Maltese, con illustrazioni ad acquerello che catturano l'essenza del personaggio.
Sempre per l'editore Lo Scarabeo, De Luca ha illustrato diversi mazzi di tarocchi, tra cui: “I Tarocchi delle Sirene”, “I Tarocchi delle Ninfe”, “Tarocchi della Magia Sessuale”.
De Luca ha esposto le sue opere in varie mostre personali e collettive. Una delle sue esposizioni più note è “Stars & Starlettes”, tenutasi nel 2021 presso la Galleria SpazioCima di Roma, dove ha presentato ritratti di celebrità e rappresentazioni dei segni zodiacali. 
Dal 1999, insegna illustrazione e tecniche pittoriche presso la Scuola Romana dei Fumetti, contribuendo alla formazione di nuove generazioni di artisti.
