ALGEMEEN:

Mooie en relatief zeldzame Morris 8 Serie 1 uit 1936. De Morris Eight was een kleine maar indrukwekkende auto, geïnspireerd door de populaire Ford Model Y. Dankzij zijn succes kon Morris zijn positie als grootste autofabrikant van Groot-Brittannië herwinnen. De auto werd voor het eerst gepresenteerd op de Motor Show van 1934. De hier aangeboden Morris Eight is een “Sliding Head” en werd nieuw geleverd in 1936. Hij is jarenlang gekoesterd, altijd droog opgeslagen en alleen met mooi weer gereden.

CARROSSERIE & LAKWERK:

De carrosserie van deze Morris 8 verkeert in uitstekende staat. De lak is zeer goed, en de auto is altijd netjes en droog bewaard gebleven. Het geheel is uitvoerig gerestaureerd en toont zich vandaag de dag nog steeds in keurige en nette staat.

TECHNISCH:

De auto wordt aangedreven door een Morris UB-serie 918 cc viercilinder zijklepmotor met een drievoudig gelagerde krukas en een enkele SU-carburateur. Het motorvermogen bedraagt 23,5 pk (17,5 kW). De versnellingsbak heeft drie versnellingen, waarvan de twee hoogste voorzien zijn van synchromesh. De Morris beschikt verder over hydraulische Lockheed-remmen, hydraulische schokdempers, een elektrische brandstofpomp en een Bishop Cam-stuurinrichting. De motorruimte is zeer schoon en netjes, en de auto rijdt prachtig. Geen overmatige ratels of storende geluiden; de motor is in uitstekende staat.

INTERIEUR:

Het interieur bevindt zich in goede staat. Alles werkt zoals het hoort. De afwerking is netjes en sluit aan bij het klassieke karakter van deze auto.

DOCUMENTEN:

De volledige onderhoudshistorie is aanwezig. De auto wordt geleverd met een Nederlands kenteken. Voor internationale klanten kunnen de correcte exportdocumenten meegeleverd worden.

AFHALING:

De auto kan worden bezichtigd op afspraak. Indien gewenst kunnen wij ook transport regelen naar uw locatie.

OVERIGE INFORMATIE:

Deze Morris 8 is jarenlang goed onderhouden en opgeslagen in een droge, warme loods. De banden zijn in zeer goede staat. Het betreft een zorgvuldig bewaard exemplaar dat niet gemist mag worden.
