Kishin Shinoyama La Maison de Rendez-vous 2016 Photobook Hara Museum Nude Description Kishin Shinoyama, one of Japan's most renowned postwar photographers, presents La Maison de Rendez-vous, a photobook published in conjunction with his 2016 solo exhibition at the now-closed Hara Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo. This exhibition originated from an invitation by the museum's director, Toshio Hara. Upon visiting the museum, Shinoyama was struck by the architectural beauty and sensuality of the space. Rather than showcasing past works, he proposed creating an entirely new series shot within the museum itself. Unlike many institutions that shy away from exhibiting nudes or tattooed bodies, the Hara Museum, as a private art space, embraced Shinoyama's vision. The result is a rare and bold collection of nude photography taken outdoors within the museum grounds, capturing a unique interplay between the body and space. This book encapsulates his distinctive take on eroticism, differentiating itself from the approach of contemporaries like Nobuyoshi Araki.
Book condition very good just a moderate bumping, check the pictures for a better evaluation.
