Oude Egypte, Ptolemeïsch Zilver Figuur van antropomorfe Apis
Of solid silver, striding forward with the left leg advanced, hands with holes, possibly once holding the was sceptre and the ankh. On integral stand, beautifully carved with fine details. While Hathor is the most famous bovine deity, the Apis bull was often considered the son of Hathor, and in some contexts, the bull-headed male gods were considered closely related to the cow goddesses, representing the male, virile aspect of that power.
