Condition: Good condition with occasional faint handling creases in the margins. Verso in the corners remains of a paper tape mounting, in addition superficial paper loss at lower left.
Herbert Piel was born in Neuss in 1957 and came to photography as an autodidact. He works for international photo agencies such as Reuters, Associated Press and Deutsche Presseagentur and works as a photo reporter for magazines such as Stern, Bunte and Spiegel as well as daily and weekly newspapers. His thematic focus is on reports from crisis areas and portraits of international politicians and rulers such as Michael Gorbachev, Bill Clinton, Willi Brandt, Helmut Kohl or even the British Queen Elizabeth II. Herbert Piel lives in Holzfeld-Boppard.
