This piece showcases an exceptional level of craftsmanship, featuring a fully reticulated (pierced) border, intricately detailed hand-painting, and relief décor molded directly into the porcelain mass—a combination that makes this type particularly scarce and highly desirable among collectors.

About the Victoria Pattern

Introduced in 1851, the Victoria décor became world-renowned when it won the Grand Prize at the Great Exhibition in London, attracting the admiration of Queen Victoria herself—after whom the pattern was later named.
It features brightly colored butterflies, peonies, and oriental flowers inspired by Far Eastern porcelain. The combination of vivid colors and elegant gilding remains one of Herend’s most beloved and prestigious designs.
