BODYWORK AND PAINT:
The bodywork of this Rover Mini 1.3 E2 from 1996 is in generally good condition, reflecting a high level of care and preservation over time. The paint, applied as part of the tribute edition, is very well preserved, with uniform shine and good depth of color, with no visible flaking or tonal differences between panels. No structural rust problems are known, a particularly relevant point for this model, known for its susceptibility to corrosion.
The panels show good alignment, with no record of significant accidents. Only minor signs of normal use may be present, consistent with the vehicle’s age, with no deep scratches or notable dents. The door and window rubbers are in good condition, maintaining proper sealing. The glass is in good condition, with no cracks, and the chrome trim and exterior details are well preserved, contributing to the car’s classic character. There is no indication of the need for welds or pending structural work.
MECHANICS:
Mechanically, the vehicle is in very good running order, not requiring immediate interventions. The well-known 1275 cm³ 1.3 A-Series engine runs smoothly, with ready response and stable operation, both cold and hot. No significant oil leaks are known from the engine or gearbox, and the engine bay is clean and consistent with the overall condition of the car.
The manual transmission gears engage correctly, without abnormal noises, and the clutch operates progressively and effectively. The brakes respond safely and evenly, ensuring good braking capacity. The suspension is functional, delivering the direct and engaging handling characteristic of the classic Mini. The tires show even wear and are in suitable condition for normal use. The car starts, drives, and stops perfectly, ready to be used immediately.
INTERIOR:
The interior is very well preserved, reflecting the continuous care given to the vehicle. The overall environment maintains the classic spirit of the Mini, with materials and finishes consistent with the era and the tribute edition. The seats are in good condition, with no significant tears, firm padding and adequate comfort, showing only slight wear compatible with age.
The headlining is properly fitted, showing no signs of sagging, looseness, or damage. The instrument panel is complete and functional, with good readability. The controls, switches and interior elements are operational. Essential electrical systems, such as lighting, ventilation and instruments, function correctly. The interior conveys an overall impression of solidity, cleanliness and authenticity, making the vehicle suitable for regular use or for display.

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
