1985 BMW E24 628CSI Coupé in Arktis-Bleu metallic.

The BMW E24 is the first generation of the BMW 6 Series grand tourer coupés built from 1976 to 1989, it replaced the BMW E9 coupés.
The E24 was only produced in a two-door coupé style.

Originally based on the chassis of the E12 5-series, the E24 switched to the newer and better chassis of the E28 5-series in 1982.

Engine: 6-cylinder inline 2788 cc, valves at the front: 12Fuel system: Bosch L-Jetronic injection.Gearbox : automatic, four-speed.Drive: rear-wheel.Maximum power: 184 HP (135 kW) at 5800 rpm.Maximum torque: 240 Nm at 4000 rpm.Top speed: 210 km/h. 

Thanks to the L-Jetronic, not only is there a significant reduction in fuel consumption, especially in urban traffic, but the engine also runs much better.

This E24 with its beautiful Sharknose will make heads turn of both young and old. 

It is a timeless model with luxury and very good sporty driving qualities, it has a fairly low centre of gravity and weight. The powerful six-cylinder engine and smooth 4-speed automatic gearbox make this coupé a real pleasure to drive.

We decided to completely respray the car about 5 years ago, in the original BMW Arktis-Bleu lacquer. The body was in a sleek condition at the time with faded lacquer and minor traces of corrosion.

Currently the car’s paintwork is still nice, however, a couple of blisters are emerging underneath the lacquer on the rear right fender which will probably have to be addressed in the future. 

The car has been slightly lowered at the front and back (see pictures) and it has an original M-Tech front bumper and rear spoiler. 

Cream-coloured leather interior in a used but good condition.
The dashboard facing the driver is in good condition without any cracks or holes.

Due to rubble impact, there is unfortunately a small crack in the window at the top left. It was not disapproved at the inspection but a replacement window will be included.

The engine and technical components of the car are in order and well-maintained. A major maintenance service has been performed including replacement of all fluids/filters. And recently a new battery, brake pads and fuel filter have been mounted.

Included:

An extra set of 15-inch wheels from 1987 with still very good tyres, of which 2 are like new.

And some spare parts such as spare Hella headlights, the original 628 csi emblems for the tailgate, a motor for the sunroof (to convert from manual to electric) an original air filter, etcetera.

After many years of enjoying this reliable eye-catcher we have decided, because we recently bought a new campervan, that after 12 years it is now time for a new enthusiast to enjoy this car!
