Volkswagen Beetle with rod turn signals, from 1958, registered in Sweden where it has remained until 2007, when it was exported to and registered in Italy. 
It is fully documented and has recently undergone a periodic inspection. 

The car was restored in 2006: sandblasted, repainted in a non-original metallic black colour, fitted with a new 12 V electrical system, a well-functioning 1300F monobloc engine and a fully functioning 12 V gearbox. The original engine and gearbox installed in the car when it left the factory are not available. 

I have had the car since 2019. Currently, the car is in very good condition, although there are obvious signs of wear on the paint, a few scratches and some areas where the paint has been touched up unprofessionally (driver’s side door hinges and driver’s side door handle area). There are no dents. 

The brakes were completely rebuilt in 2021, both front and rear. The bottom is in excellent condition and the car shows no areas with pitting corrosion. 

The chrome-plating is in excellent condition except for the front bumper, which has areas where the chrome has come off. The car has 4 new rims, purchased in 2021, and 4 new tyres. 

It has been driven regularly for approx. 12,000 km per year since 2019 and has never shown any major mechanical problems. 
The engine is not new and is not very fast, but it runs smoothly and requires little oil. 

An adjustable front chassis was installed in 2020, allowing the height of the front axle to be adjusted as desired. 

The interior is not original and was redone by artisan upholsterers in 2007. The headlights have been upgraded with LED lamps.
