We are offering our original rare T1 split-window 15-window bus in its original colour; this bus is rarer than the more famous Samba bus. The bus rolled off the assembly line in 1967 at VW do Brasil in São Paulo (first model year) with the 1500cc engine and was delivered to Santa Catarina in southern Brazil. To our knowledge, the bus was used over the decades by a church community as a passenger transporter. In 2014, the bus was bought by a friend, who is a dentist and passionate car restorer, and brought back to São Paulo. The T1 was restored to its original factory condition by veterans from the VW plant over the course of almost 3 years. In 2019, we brought the bus back to Germany when we returned from Brazil and it easily received the “H license plate” (vintage car registration) here (the car has a valid German technical inspection [TÜV] data sheet, new tyres and new Hella headlights with E-identification; in addition, hazard warning lights were installed).
The available expert reports by Classic-Analytics with a score of 2+ state that the car has a replacement value of €57,600 and a market value of €48,000. The original mileage cannot be traced back The odometer reading of about 1000 is the mileage the car has driven after restoration.
