1970 Citroën Mehari in excellent condition. The vehicle has undergone a comprehensive restoration completed in 2022. It has been completely disassembled and inspected piece by piece, repairing and replacing everything that was not in good condition. The chassis has been sandblasted, primed and painted, as has the subframe to which the bodywork is attached. The authenticity of all the pieces has been preserved. The bodywork has been replaced by a new one made in the original Citroën mould, but the cabin has been retained as it features the distinctive bulge between the two front seats of the first series. Parts such as the original mirrors and windscreen with a light restoration give the car a more authentic character. Both mechanics and electrics have been thoroughly overhauled and restored, so the car is in perfect working order. New rims and tyres in excellent condition. It has been driven very few kilometres since its restoration, only about 300 km for testing and adjustments. Restored by professionals with extensive experience in classic vehicles. The car starts and drives perfectly, although a small tune-up is recommended to the winner of the auction as it has been left unused for a few months since its restoration.
