Volkswagen - T3 Caravelle - 1988
This stunning 1952 Citroën Traction Avant 11B features black paint and ivory rims. In addition, the majority of its chrome work is in good condition. This is a true enthusiast's car and it has been in the possession of the same owner for dozens of years. The car was imported from the town of Lyon in France in 1975. The Citroën is trimmed with the original grey cloth striped upholstery and features the painted dashboard with original switches.
The front of the car has been completely revamped, including the wheel brake cylinders, brake hoses, master cylinder, kingpins and tyres.
Given the fact that the car has been stationary for a long time, the engine runs best on an external fuel tank. The current fuel tank needs to be cleaned. Other than that, the engine runs well. It also features a three-stage manual gearbox.
Car does not require any welding, and has a hard finish! The paint is in good condition, painted fairly well for that time; nevertheless, it does show signs of wear. The chassis and bottom are hard!
The Citroën Traction Avant was a highly innovative car produced by Citroën starting from 1934, based on a design by André Lefèbvre and Flaminio Bertoni.
It was the first mass-produced car with front-wheel drive (French: traction avant) and a self-supporting body. Many of the innovations introduced in the Traction Avant are still present in cars in the 21st century.
