Mercedes Benz "Pagoda" 280 SL (W113) from July 1968, the flagship of the 280 series. It was powered by the 2.8-litre M130 engine, an evolution of the 230 SL's M127 engine, an in-line six-cylinder with a solid cast iron cylinder block and single overhead camshaft, offering the right balance of strength and lightness.
The story of this car begins in Italy, where it was first registered (Modena number 332543), but today it is registered in Germany. It benefited from a conservative restoration of the mechanical components in 2014: the interior is beautifully preserved, as is the paintwork on the body (see attached photos). The supplied soft top is brand new.
A simple reset of the fuel injection pump is required. 
A full service will be carried out prior to delivery.
The vehicle can be viewed and collected in Camaiore (LU) by appointment with Catawiki.
