BMW - 628 CSi - NO RESERVE - 1986

NO RESERVE: 1986 BMW 628 CSi E24 coupé. 6-cylinder in-line engine developing 184 horsepower, Getrag 5-speed manual gearbox, rear-wheel drive. Designed by Paul Braque, this model represents BMW's largest GT of the 70s and 80s. Sold in France, exported to Estonia in 2022. Used regularly during summer 2023. The body and interior are in good shape: chrome-work is in good shape, bodywork and the underbody are intact and in well preserved original condition. All the glass-work is original. The body has the desired "Diamantschwarz" Metallic paint, which the seller assumes was repainted at least once over the car's lifetime (date unknown), although this fact remains unverified. Some stone chips can be found on the front part of the car. The beige leather interior was serviced in May 2023 and seems like it has been well taken care of during its whole life. The car is rolling 14” 'Bottle-cap' wheels, tyres mounted are older-looking yet usable summer tires. The BMW drives well and no issues are reported from its owner. During the winter 2022, a technical service took place in addition to the regular maintenance: - Worn out axle parts replaced. - Brake maintanance. - New blower motor and driver's side window lift. - Refurbished gear stick with new bushes and connectors. - Adjusted valves and fitted with new oil pipe in the cylinder head. Original booklets and two sets of keys are coming with the car. The car can be viewed and picked up in Tallinn, Estonia. We can help with transport arrangements. It is advisable to view the vehicle before bidding to avoid disappointment afterwards. For a viewing appointment please contact Catawiki.
