È la prima 500 omologata nella categoria turismo 600 cc.
La 595 D Abarth nasce come modello stradale, ma la passione per le corse del Sig. Karl fece si che da li a poco avvio le pratiche per mettere ufficialmente in pista la piccola bicilindrica.

Abarth Fiat 595 acquistata nel lontano 1964 da un imprenditore con la voglia di intraprendere le gare e avere un auto che si distingue dalle altre. 
Alla fine ha fatto solo qualche corsa amatoriale senza poter passare alle gare ufficiali, condannata ad un utilizzo giornaliero senza nessuna gloria. 

Purtroppo negli anni 80 il primo proprietario è venuto a mancare e la moglie conservo l’auto fino al 95 senza toccarla e usarla soltanto nel 97 il nipote fece emergere il cinquino tanto un lieve restauro e portandolo allo stato attuale. 

Sempre ben conservata con cura e nel 1997 ha subì un restauro carrozzeria e revisione motore da lì in poi usata per raduni e passeggiate. 
Omologata ASI targa argento, si potrebbe rivalutare l’omologozione per passarla a targa oro.

La vettura non ha subito mai incidenti, non c’è marcio, è stata soltanto riverniciata nel 1997.

Anche l’interno è stato restaurato nel 1997 rispettando modello e colore simili all’originale.

Il Motore è brillante, fluido e dal sound unico.
Non ci sono lavori importanti da eseguire.
