Stark an amerikanische Straßenkreuzer erinnernd, kam der P2 ("Projekt 2") mit modischen Heckflossen daher. Schnell erhielt er aufgrund der Optik den Spitznamen "Barock-Taunus"

Hier haben wir einen Ford Taunus 17M P2 aus dem Jahr 1960 in der de Luxe Ausführung in entsprechender Zweifarbenlackierung. Hergestellt in Deutschland und nach Italien ausgeliefert. Dort wurde er 1961 zugelassen. 

Die de Luxe Version ist ziemlich rar geworden, vor allem in brauchbaren Karosseriezustand. 
Das Auto ist komplett und weitestgehend original. Es wurde nie komplett restauriert und hat eine schöne Patina.
  
Es ist auf Grund der langen Standzeit bedingt fahrbereit. Ein Tausch der Betriebsstoffe im Zuge eines großen Service sollte erledigt werden auch muss man sich für die Wiederinbetriebnahme in Teilen um die Elektrik kümmern. 

Die letzte technische Inspektion wurde im September 2021 in Italien bestanden und wäre bis September 2023 gültig gewesen. 
Ein neuer Satz Weißwandreifen wurde noch 2023 in Italien montiert. 
Die italienischen Fahrzeugpapiere sind vorhanden.
