GENERAL:

The Citroën AX GTi from 1992 is a standout hot hatch of its time and is now considered a highly desirable youngtimer. This particular car was first registered in Germany in June 1992 and imported to the Czech Republic in November 2008 by a collector. Since then, it has undergone extensive renovation, including mechanical and cosmetic work. It offers lightness, character, and sporty performance in a compact and original package.

BODYWORK & PAINTWORK:

The body was completely repainted in its original shade of Noir Onyx. The exterior is in clean condition, free of rust or major scratches. The GTi-specific plastic body kit is intact and presents very well. The only notable cosmetic issues are imperfections in the clear coat on the bonnet and roof, caused by a chemical reaction during previous refinishing. It retains the original 13" Speedline alloy wheels, which show only minor cosmetic marks.

TECHNICAL:

Mechanically, the AX GTi has undergone a full overhaul. The engine was cleaned and resealed, ignition coils and spark plugs were replaced, and although in excellent condition, the engine did not require a rebuild. The gearbox was also serviced, and a new clutch was installed. Other mechanical upgrades include new brakes, shock absorbers, suspension arm mounts, and a refurbished steering system.
The 1.4i multipoint fuel injection four-cylinder engine produces 98 hp, paired with a kerb weight of under 850 kg. Performance figures include a 0–100 km/h time of around 8.8 seconds and a top speed of approximately 190 km/h.
In spring 2025, the car received an oil and filter service. The brake discs and pads are in good condition, and the 2018 tyres retain more than 70% tread. The timing belt kit was replaced in 2017.

INTERIOR:

The interior retains its period-correct sporty style, featuring grey cloth upholstery with red accents. The cabin is in very good condition, with undamaged seats, door panels, and plastics. Equipment includes a three-spoke sports steering wheel, sunroof, digital clock, and the original radio with cassette player. The interior was partially refurbished during the renovation, maintaining its authentic GTi character.

DOCUMENTS:

Originally sold in Germany, the car has been registered in the Czech Republic since 2008. It is currently registered to a private owner and is sold without VAT deduction. In 2017, the non-functional odometer (then reading 107,000 km) was replaced with a working unit showing 38,000 km. The car's true mileage is now approximately 109,000 km. Two original keys are included.
