Celica from 1987 with a 1998 cm3 petrol engine, manual transmission, red paint, 150 HP, 167000 km mileage, VIN JT1LST16207169786, located in Poland, with service history and a valid MOT until 2026.
Description from the seller
The offered Toyota Celica is from 1987 and represents the fourth generation of the iconic sports model by the Japanese brand. The car was imported to Poland in 2025 from Sweden, where it had been maintained in very good technical and visual condition over the years. Upon arrival, it underwent a full mechanical service, including timing belt replacement and all necessary consumables, which was confirmed by an invoice. The car is currently ready to drive without any additional expenses.
Bodywork and paint
The bodywork in a classic red color looks very good – the paint has retained a deep gloss and an even texture. The car shows no signs of accidents or major body repairs.
A small point of corrosion is visible under the windshield, which does not affect the vehicle's use or overall aesthetics. Additionally, small paint blisters are visible near the sunroof, which can be removed during spot restoration. Aside from that, the entire bodywork is in very good condition – free of rust, dents, or chips.
The plastic elements are complete and well preserved. The windows are original, clean, and crack-free. All lights are functioning properly.
Technical condition
The car, after being imported to Poland, underwent a thorough mechanical inspection, including the replacement of the timing belt, fluids, filters, drive belts, and other consumable parts. The service was carried out by a workshop specializing in Japanese cars. The 2.0 engine runs smoothly and dynamically, with no leaks or smoke, and the transmission operates precisely.
The suspension and brake system are in very good condition, with no play or knocking. The car handles stably, does not pull to one side, and requires no investments.
The electrical system is fully operational – all switches, lights, indicators, and heated seats are functioning, which is rare in a car from this period.
Interior
The interior has been preserved in excellent condition, typical of a well-maintained example from Scandinavian countries. The plastics, dashboard, and door panels are clean and crack-free. The upholstery is in very good condition, with a small scuff in the middle of the driver's seat (visible in the photos). The headliner, carpets, and door panels are kept in their original, well-maintained state.
All indicators, switches, and the heating and ventilation system are functioning flawlessly.
Documentation
The car comes with an invoice from a service in Poland confirming the mechanical work performed, as well as a complete set of import documents. The vehicle is registered in Poland, has a valid technical inspection, and liability insurance (OC).
Offered is a 1987 Toyota Celica 2.0, a classic sports coupé from the late 80s, preserved in very good visual and technical condition. The vehicle has been recently serviced, with fully functional electrical systems, and is ready for immediate driving. An ideal choice for fans of Japanese automotive engineering and collectors seeking an original Celica from the era.

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
